The Ethiopian High School Research Challenge is a national platform that empowers outstanding high school students from across Ethiopia to explore innovative solutions to social and economic issues. Participants advance through regional selections and a national final, judged by experts from institutions including the Ethiopian Information and Network Security Agency (INSA).
In the 2023 competition, Betelehem Adane earned 1st Place for her project titled “Micro-Enterprise Development as a Catalyst for Youth Employment in Ethiopia.” Her research examined how small-scale businesses drive inclusive economic growth, using local data to highlight the importance of entrepreneurship in reducing unemployment and strengthening community economies.
